Toughened Glass

Fortified Safety and Enduring Strength

Our company’s in-house toughening technology guarantees the production of high-quality safety glass that is accredited by BSI Kite Mark. We are capable of toughening glass from 4mm to 12mm to cater to both business and homeowner projects. The process of thermal treatment strengthens and enhances the durability of the glass, making it much stronger than standard glass.

In the event of breakage, toughened glass breaks into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp shards, significantly reducing the risk of injury. This type of glass is versatile and offers enhanced safety, making it ideal for a variety of applications, including windows, doors, balustrades, and more.

Strengthened for Safety

Enhanced Safety and Durability

Toughened glass, which is also known as tempered glass, is a type of safety glass that is manufactured through a controlled thermal treatment process to enhance its strength. This glass is created from annealed glass, which is heated to around 650⁰C and then rapidly cooled, significantly improving its durability when compared to regular glass. Due to this process, toughened glass is four times stronger than ordinary glass.

Bespoke Glass Solutions

Toughened glass, or tempered glass, is a superior type of glass that undergoes controlled thermal or chemical treatments. It is four to five times stronger than annealed glass and can withstand surface compression of at least 10,000 lbs per square inch. It shatters into harmless cubes instead of dangerous shards, making it ideal for high-risk building areas. Toughened glass is available in various shapes and thicknesses and comes with polished edges as standard. Choose toughened glass for superior strength, resilience, and safety.
